Kick Ass Brass is a recently formed funk/soul band moulded in the style of the great USA band from Oakland, California - Tower Of Power. There are many bands around the world who have a go at this, some do a good job, others not - the music is very difficult to play, but the result can be breathtaking. After almost a year of planning, Kick Ass Brass performed for the first time to a rousing reception at the Hayne Barton Jazz Festival. We were left in no doubt by the many comments from the audience that we should make Kick Ass Brass a permanent feature on the UK music scene. So, first things first ... the web site! This site is under construction, but in February we are getting a recording and some photos done so expect to see them on this site in the very near future.

We are not confining ourselves to being a Tower Of Power tribute band. There are many bands out there past and present who's music lends itself to a line up such as Kick Ass Brass. Candy Dulfer, Prince, James Brown, Chicago and many others will all have influences on what and how we play.

So, watch this space and we'll let you know how things are going as Kick Ass Brass makes it's way...
